How we create a treasure
Once we receive your text or black-and-white image, we size it appropriately for the selected piece. Then, a negative of the artwork is created on a thick film called “resist” that is applied to the glass by hand. The glass then goes into the blasting chamber where compressed air and abrasive combine to eat through the design in the resist, producing a frosted texture on the glass. Afterwards, the resist and abrasive are rinsed away, revealing a perfectly etched design that will last as long as the glass itself.
