Votive Etching Process

From signatures and handwritten messages to intricate full-wrap designs, each piece is etched to reflect your vision. Every detail is carefully considered to complement the artistry of the original glass. Our abrasive etching process creates a permanent, soft frosted finish that will not fade or wear away over time.

How the process works

• Email your artwork or details to info@nationaletching.com, or order a stock design directly on our website
• Drop off or ship your glassybaby votives
• We’ll prepare and send a proof for your review
• Once approved, your pieces are etched and finished
• When complete, you’ll receive pickup instructions or tracking for return shipping

Pricing

Each piece is priced based on design size, complexity, and placement. The options below reflect our most common work.

Etching

Full wrap designs create the most impactful result and are our most requested option.

One side or bottom (up to 2.5" x 2.5") – $45
Oversized design (over 2.5" x 2.5") – $60
Additional side or bottom – $20
Full wrap (centered on color) – $90
Full wrap (rim to base) – $120

Most customers choose: A full wrap design ($90–$120) for the most impactful result, with optional color fill for added contrast.

Color Fill

One side – $20 per color
Complex designs – $30 per color
Full wrap – $30 per color
Full wrap (complex) – $45 per color

Design & File Prep

File conversion (includes one revision) – $25
Additional revisions – $10
Design services – $75/hour
